Target Circle will go nationwide on Oct. 6. The loyalty program is free, does not require a Target credit card and includes a new birthday reward perk. Other perks include 1% back on purchases, personally tailored coupons, VIP access to deal days and a say in which nonprofits Target will donate to. The existing Cartwheel coupon platform will be integrated into the new Target Circle. The company has already been testing the program in a handful of markets around the U.S. Rick Gomez, Target CMO, via CNBC Target shares are up this year by more than 60%.
