The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recently announced Ellen Degeneres as the second-ever recipient of the Carol Burnett Award. In their announcement, Lorenzo Soria, president of the HFPA, called DeGeneres a "pioneer." DeGeneres will receive the award in-person at the Golden Globes on January 5, 2020.
