Four varieties of the drink will be introduced: Coca-Cola Energy, Coca-Cola Energy Cherry and zero sugar versions of both. Coca-Cola Energy and Coca-Cola Energy Zero Sugar are already available internationally. A can of Coke Energy has 114mg of caffeine, which is nearly 4 times as much as a regular can of Coke. The move is reportedly to ensure that the Coca-Cola brand “remains fresh.” Energy drink and energy shot sales reached $13.5 billion in 2018. Coca-Cola Energy will be available in the U.S. in mid-January 2020.
